Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
MyMasjid ("we", "us") provides prayer times, Iqama times, events and TV display pages for mosques at mymasjid.tv and at each mosque's own address (for example yourmosque.mymasjid.tv). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
There are two kinds of people who use MyMasjid:
- Mosque administrators who create an account and manage a mosque.
- Visitors who open a mosque's public page or TV display. Visitors do not need an account.
Information we collect
From mosque administrators
- Account details: your name and email address. If you sign up with email and password, we store a securely hashed version of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile information from Google.
- Mosque details you enter: the mosque's name, web address, street address, the map coordinates we work out from that address, prayer calculation settings, Iqama delays, events (title, description, location, times) and any text you add.
- Images you upload: logo, favicon, photos and slideshow images.
- Billing information: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, the subscription status and the next billing date.
- Technical information: a session record (including IP address and browser type) so you stay signed in securely.
From visitors
We do not ask visitors for any personal information, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers. Like any website, our servers and our hosting provider process technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the page and keep it secure.
Cookies and similar storage
We use only what is needed for the service to work:
- Session cookie: keeps administrators signed in.
- Language cookie (
lang): remembers your language choice (English, Arabic or Urdu). - Service worker and cache: mosque pages and the TV display store a copy of the page, fonts, icons and slides in your browser so they keep working when the internet is unavailable.
We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the service: show prayer times, events and slides, and let administrators manage their mosque.
- To process subscriptions and prevent non-payment.
- To send emails you ask for or that the service needs, such as password reset links and sign-in links.
- To keep the service secure, fix problems and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share information with
We use these providers to run MyMasjid. They process information only to provide their services to us:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database, file storage, email delivery and security.
- Stripe: payment processing and billing.
- Google: sign-in with Google (if you choose it) and Google Fonts, which loads fonts in your browser, so your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): when an administrator enters a mosque address, the address is sent to OpenStreetMap to find its map coordinates. Embedded maps in the dashboard are served by OpenStreetMap.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or the service.
What is public
Everything a mosque publishes is public by design: its name, address, map location, prayer and Iqama times, events, photos, logo and slides appear on its public page and TV display. Do not upload or publish anything you do not want the public to see. Administrator email addresses and account details are not shown on public pages.
International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so information may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States and Australia. We rely on our providers' safeguards for those transfers.
How long we keep information
- Account and mosque information is kept while your account is active.
- If a subscription ends, the mosque's page goes offline but its data is kept so you can reactivate it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
- Billing records may be kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your mosque's information and delete uploaded images in your dashboard at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to delete a mosque and its data, by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law (such as the Australian Privacy Principles, the GDPR or the CCPA), and you may complain to your local privacy regulator.
Children
MyMasjid is built for mosque administrators and is not directed at children under 13. Mosque public pages contain no features that collect information from visitors.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls so that administrators can only reach their own mosques. No online service can be completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. If the changes are significant we will tell administrators by email or in the dashboard.
